Our engineers keep outdoing themselves in designing ever better solutions and techniques. Once a design is finished, it is time to act. The manufacturing process consists of several key stages: cutting the profile, punching the drainage and fixing holes, welding, grinding and finally powder coating.
MATERIAL AND PROCESSING
Our products are made of lightweight aluminium – a robust material which, after proper treatment, becomes resistant to a wide range of weather conditions. In addition to profiles, we also specialise in manufacturing pedestals for terraces. These have proven themselves in the increasingly popular raised (ventilated) floor technology.
POWDER COATING
Powder coating is an important process that has a major influence on the durability and resilience of the profiles. After the previous production stages, a profile is still "just" a piece of raw aluminium with hardly any resistance to aggressive construction chemicals such as acids and alkalis.
Because it corrodes quickly, it needs thorough protection. The powder coating we use is based on powder resin, making it resistant not only to a wide range of weather conditions but also to UV radiation.
First, the profile is degreased and then chromated. It is at this stage of the process that complete corrosion protection is achieved. Next, the profile is coated with powder paint. We use the electrostatic method, which makes the powder paint adhere better. The profile prepared in this way is then cured in an oven at high temperatures.
